Is Political Science Class Important For Law School?
Hello, I attend Louisiana State University and my major is History. Everyone I talk to says that History is the foundation of beginning a Law Degree. I made a C in Political Science and I was wondering if this would severely affect my chances of going to Law School, If that’s what i decide to do. Also, what other careers can you go into with a degree in history?

I’m not sure about law school, but I just finished a BA degree in history in the spring. I am currently in an graduate history program. My goal is to work as an archivist, though there are a number of fields a public historian can go into, including museum & library work.
Check out the book “Public History: Essays From the Field” edited by James B. Gardner and Peter S. LaPaglia.
C grades won’t get you into a good law school. Keep your overall GPA up, try to be well-rounded, and prepare for the LSAT with a prep class or book. Your resume, interviews, and recommendations count for a lot, too. Just don’t think that it will be easy. That won’t get you far.
Congratulations! Those that can, do. Those that can’t, teach. What grade levels do you prefer?
